Online Marketing Consultant

PushON are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to fill the role of Online Marketing Consultant. You’ll have the opportunity to work with an international client base within an award-winning agency, and develop your digital marketing knowledge within the experienced online marketing team at PushON.

The right candidate must be a self-starting individual, with strong organisational and written skills. With a minimum of 1+years hands-on experience in SEO, a passion for the SEO industry, and a commitment to keeping up to date with industry news, trends and best practices.

Main responsibilities will include:

On behalf of both internal and external clients your main responsibilities will include,

  • SEO strategy and planning
  • Off-site strategies and implementation (link building)
  • Assisting full SEO campaigns
  • Maintaining client relationships
  • Collaboratively working with the online marketing team
  • Define and implement high quality link strategies for a diverse range of PushON clients
  • Carry out high level link prospecting, identifying websites and other digital properties through which to engage and obtain high value links
  • Use a wide range of tools for analysis, tracking, monitoring and evaluation of client links built
  • Use a wide range of tools for analysis, tracking, monitoring and evaluation of competitor link profiles to help inform and improve client link portfolios
  • Undertake low quality and redundant link removal processes
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of the link portfolios you build
  • Oversee and undertake the submission and syndication of content and client site information to web directories
  • Liaise with external PR agencies and other external stakeholders where necessary to maximise the potential for achieving high quality links from content and PR plans
  • Develop a strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of each of the clients you build links for
  • Regularly feedback insights gained from link building activities into the Marketing team, to help them evolve their strategies
  • Monitor trends in link building, tools and applications
  • Efficiently manage your workload and accurately record your time using the company project management system
  • Continually strive for, suggest and implement improved link acquisition ideas

Skills required:

  • Thorough understanding of SEO (both on-page and off-page)
  • Knowledge of other marketing activities that impact SEO performance
  • Strong organisational and time-keeping skills
  • Strong written and communication skills (Inc. telephone manner)
  • Strong research and analysis skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Analytics / web analytics packages
  • Proven history of high level link building and management of link portfolios for a diverse range of clients
  • Demonstrable expert knowledge of a wide variety of creative and ethical link building strategies and techniques
  • Extensive knowledge and depth of understanding of SEO as whole and the effective role that link building plays
  • Extensive knowledge and depth of understanding of how search engines rank web pages
  • Excellent communication skills, a solid knowledge of English grammar and the ability to communicate ideas in a clear and concise way, both verbally and in written form
  • Extensive knowledge of blogs, blogging and forum commenting
  • Thorough working knowledge of all the major social media channels including but not exclusively, Google+, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Highly organised and proactive with strong planning and time management skills
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver quality work within tight deadlines


Beneficial skills for the role include:

  • International/multi-lingual SEO experience
  • Web development experience (HTML, etc.)
  • Sales/new business experience
  • PR, Marketing, Sales, Community Management experience
  • A good knowledge of HTML, CSS and web standards
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of the Google Analytics application with the ability to interpret data that will help inform unique and innovative link acquisition strategies
