Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and PushON formed a partnership in June and July 2010 to carry out research that has led to the creation of Digital Directions: How Business Decision-Makers in the North West use the Internet. This research aimed to gain insight into the technology, Internet and social media usage of senior managers and executives from the Top 500 companies across the North West. It is the first of its kind and will be carried out on a yearly basis, from now on.
Respondents included managing directors, chief executives, chief financial officers, financial directors, IT managers, HR managers and marketing managers from some of the regions top companies. The results provide some interesting data and insights that could be useful to marketers, business owners, senior managers or many others in the North West region; or further afield.
