Data centers in United States? Do you know if they give an option to choose a server based in UK? Logically speaking, the surfing speed should be faster for UK users if the server was based here, but my main concern would be the non-UK IP address. This could hurt my SEO a little bit.

Magento Go is a fully-managed service running on a private cloud built for security & performance. Therefore, Magento handles all the management.
Magento and Rackspace have teamed up to create Magento Go. As per my understanding, Magento Go is running on Rackspace cloud services with some integration with the Rackspace cloud API. According to Magento, 'Magento Go is hosted on a premium infrastructure in top tier datacenters in the United States'.

I've been looking into Magento Go, and for the monthly price it looks worthwhile to have the site fully maintained and hosted by Magento. Question still comes to mind, would they host it on they clustered shared servers, or does each person get a dedicated server? or is the hosting cloud based? i cant seem to find this information anywhere... because Magento is known to run slow on shared server.
