Some quick stats:-

Christmas planning is starting earlier each year. The spike happened 9 weeks before Christmas 3 years ago, this is now at 16 weeks. Early snow affected online behaviours last year – it really impacted.

Sunday 22nd March was the biggest peak online in terms of Spring retail this year.

The Royal Wedding caused a big drop off in online retail this year. It’s not just the big events (i.e. Christmas) that cause the biggest change in trend; it’s the individual events that happen throughout the year which can have the biggest overall impact to a marketing strategy.

This session was a little difficult to blog, as it was more of a Q&A with the panel.
