On Monday there is a CING Lecture at Bo Concept on the ring road. The speaker is Ilsa Parry. She’ll be talking about design in a tough climate. Ilsa is one of the Northwest’s leading designers and was the winner of Philippe Starck’s Design for Life competition featured on the BBC. She is also the founder of Rethinkthings, an iconic innovation studio. You might see me at this one, come and say hi.
Wednesday is Blab at the Deaf Institute. This is sold out now, but PushON has one ticket to fight over between us, so one of us will see you there. Speakers are Mr Bingo and Hoss Gifford.
Thursday is jam packed with Two events:
Usability & User Experience 101 – #UX101 is from 6 till 8 at the Michael E. Porter Lecture Theatre in MMU Business School on Aytoun Street. It’s With Paul Rouke, Managing Director of PRWD.
In this event, Paul will introduce you to usability and user experience, and provide you with a range of insights, tips and best practice that can be used when working on web projects.
Also on Thursday is “Shane Walter – Adventurer in Motion” put on my D&AD at Manchester Conference Centre on Sackville Street. It starts at 7 and is £15. Shane Walter is a producer, director and founder of onedotzero – a world-leading moving image and digital arts organisation that commissions, showcases and promotes innovation in moving image, digital and interactive arts. Notably via the global phenomenon that is the onedotzero_adventures in motion festival.
