In addition to our recent Biddable Media Awards nominations, the PushON team had more reason to celebrate today after being shortlisted for TWO Northern Dev Awards.
Puretec
In 2019 we began working with Puretec Fitness. Having historically traded via marketplaces (Amazon / eBay), they aimed to grow their target audience of home fitness enthusiasts by developing customer relationships on their website.
Via a strategy that included Platform Migration, SEO, Content Marketing and ongoing Tech Support, the new website has delivered fantastic results. Traffic increased by 267% year on year and the implementation of educational content to their website increased average session duration by 56%, indicating a high level of user engagement.
The final product is a quick, scalable and mobile-responsive platform that has reclaimed the brand and eliminated their former reliance on marketplaces. It combines community with shopping, via a simple Learn – Shop UX feature and educates, supports and advises customers with their requirements, then seamlessly encourages them to purchase products that will help them along their fitness journey.
At the time of writing, they rank position 1 on Google for 40 fitness-related keywords and they are on the first page of search results for over 200 more.
This includes ‘workout scheme’, ‘home gym workouts’, ‘exercise bike to lose weight’, ‘seated chest press v bench press’ and ‘best forearm exercises.’
Several onsite articles have received backlinks from relevant, authoritative websites including metro.co.uk, menshealth.com, bodybuilding.com, moneysavingexpert.com and more.
“PushON instantly understood the vision and as a result, have executed a ground-breaking website that perfectly aligns with the brand. They have brought our concept of an educational learning area to life with a clear SEO strategy, seamlessly integrating it with the shopping area, they have made it fully responsive, so it looks incredible across all devices.”

Herdy
The Herdy project involved a migration from their previous Magento 1 website to a new Magento 2 Open Source platform – arguably the leading eCommerce platform on the market today.
This has given them a rich feature set, extensibility and ongoing development options. Magento also provides “Store Fronts” capability so that unique iterations of the website can be rolled out to support different territories.
The build was an agency-wide project with contributions from a variety of team members including our Head of Development, Project Manager, Account Manager, Senior UX Consultant, Designer, Two Front End Developers, Two Back End Developers, Senior Technical SEO and Conversion Specialist.
The project’s key successes were; a seamless launch with minimal defects thanks to extensive pre-launch testing and the positive impact on search performance thanks to the website being thoroughly re-indexed rapidly.
“PushON’s immersive approach to understanding our requirements enabled us to take a collaborative approach at every stage of the planning, design and build processes. Appointing project managers on both client and agency sides provided a dedicated resource for stakeholders and decision-makers to funnel their individual needs and objectives, which contributed significantly to the scope and success of the project. This equitable approach to planning and development has delivered an ambitious and bespoke e-commerce solution which incorporates the fun, creativity, and community engagement that is uniquely associated with the Herdy brand. “
