Internet World mobile marketing conference set for November

The much-anticipated annual conference, Internet World, is once again expected to attract strong worldwide ticket sales as it prepares to open its doors at London’s Millennium Gloucester on 20th and 21st November this year.

The major conference, which has traditionally embraced all issues relating to e-commerce and other developments in online sales strategies – and has the distinction of having been officially designated the longest-running and largest event of its kind in Europe – will, for the second year in a row, focus on email marketing.

Among the top companies expected to be discussing their respective mobile marketing techniques at the conference will be Telegraph Media Group, Visa UK, and Waitrose.

Commenting on the forthcoming event, Marie Simpson, the Editorial Manager for the conference, said:

“This conference provides a great opportunity for cross-industry brands to learn how to drive engagement and revenue through mobile marketing. Internet World recognises the need for companies to really capitalise on this booming platform, and this conference provides the ideal content to inspire integrated mobile and multichannel strategies.”

The conference is held at a pivotal time for the mobile marketing industry, which – in the UK alone – is reported to be valued at more than £330m.

The sector has shown considerable growth over the past two years – having been valued at only £85m back in 2010.

Many industry commentators expect the sector to continue to grow in the near future – but point to the importance of companies adopting a systematic and strategic approach towards mobile marketing for maximum effectiveness.
