Appliance Shop (formerly Appliance Direct Morecambe) are an independent business based out of Morecambe, Lancashire. A leading electrical retailer with a bricks and mortar showroom supplying washing machines, washer dryers, freezers, and other electrical goods.
Brief
Appliance Shop approached PushON to redevelop their successful eCommerce website on Magento. Their existing website was outdated, and the content management system (CMS) not suitable for a growing business.
The scope of the migration was to retain as much of the design as possible, but to rework certain elements to utilise Magento core functionality and get the best out of the platform. As an electrical retailer consideration had be given to brand, in addition to technical information and reviews required by customers. Certain products also needed to have options for extended warranty, two-man delivery and product recycling.
